It is universally acknowledged that working in a company’s office is required by most of the companies. Managers firmly believe that this conventional way surpasses the new way-working at home by using their laptops and cell phones, however, I the benefits of working at home far overweight working in a company’s office does. This new way of working offers us more convenience and personal freedom which working in a company’s office cannot bring us.
First of all, working in company’s office does have some advantages by improving efficiency and it makes a more cooperative team. For instance, people in different nations and cultures can share their unique views on how to solve a problem which gives rise to a high efficiency. Also, when faced with some hard problems, people working together will indeed build up a harmonious atmosphere in the whole company. In this way, the company’s competitiveness could rise to a high level.
Numerous though the advantages that working in the company’s offices are, that they can never compete with the benefits that working at home brings about when convenience is taken into consideration. For example, if the office is miles away from the worker’s home, worker usually have to spend a lot of time on their way to work, waiting for a taxi, transferring from subway to city bus, or suffering severely from the traffic congestion. In addition, employers do not have to get up early to follow a set schedule hurrying to their work places.
Another advantage which should not be ignored is that working at home allows more personal freedom. Workers can deal with their daily affairs accompanied by the music they like. Besides, employees can also choose to work with the items they love. For instance, girls can put their lovely toys around them, making their working place more comfortable; however, they are not able to decorate their offices as they wish.
Although I agree that there might be a couple of advantages to work in the company, however, I feel that the benefits of working at home are more obvious. More convenience is brought about by working at home. In addition, it is working at home that has give us more personal freedom. From my perspective, it is never too much to say that working at home is better than working in a company’s office.
